Football roundup: Port Jervis beats Minisink Valley, Middletown rolls

Brett Fuller completed 17 of 34 passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown to lead Port Jervis to non-league win over Minisink Valley Friday in Slate Hill.

Geffen Cauthen rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown and had four catches for 36 yards and Calvin Crews caught seven passes for 86 yards and a score for Port Jervis (2-1). Fuller threw touchdown passes to Crews (33 yards), Jadem DeMarco (10 yards) and Jacob Balmos (10 yards). Port Jervis’ Ryan Ross had an interception.

Minisink Valley picked off Fuller three times.

Ethan Gallo rushed for 122 yards and touchdowns and returned a fumble for a touchdown for Minisink Valley (1-2). Minisink’s Kai Colon threw for 208 yards and a 53-yard touchdown to Mikey Altomer. Altomer caught three passes for 73 yards and intercepted a pass. Colon picked off two passes.

Middletown 55, Wallkill 26

Jaden Farrell threw for 202 yards and three touchdowns to lead host Middletown to a non-league win Friday.

Jeremiah McCray caught four passes for 107 yards and touchdown and added 47 rushing yards, Leon McKiver had two touchdown catches and 67 receiving yards and Angel Ortiz had three catches for 68 yards and a score for Middletown (2-0).

Middletown’s Idris Daniels was 2-for-2 for 70 yards and two touchdowns, Josh Soter rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns and Taye’ln McKinney added 42 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Wallkill quarterback Mat Shea scored on touchdown runs of 6 and 11 yards. Ty Crowley caught a 16-yard touchdown pass and Gabriel Crespi added a 1-yard touchdown run for Wallkill.

Corning 28, Monroe-Woodbury 12

Monroe-Woodbury fell to Section 4 Corning in a non-league game Saturday in Johnson City.

The Crusaders picked up the game midweek when their originally-scheduled contest with Valley Central was cancelled.
